DISCOVERY; The other record my cousin Doug gave me at my confirmation doo-dah. I asked him how he guessed I wouldn't have these albums. The White album he said was too expensive so he figured I hadn't splashed out for that. And the Wings album was too new. Brand new Paul McCartney! I had Helen Wheels on a single and Jet was on the radio constantly. The rest of the album was new to me. Couldn't ask for more.

WHERE & WHEN; One sunny afternoon I was at Eileen's house in Blaine. The whole neighbourhood was out enjoying the sun. About a block away some people were having a party in their front yard. Windows open, speakers out, the music was on, people having fun. Blimey, they're playing Band on the Run! It was kind of cool but still... that's my record. I've always liked listening to music that isn't what everyone else is listening to. It was becoming increasingly difficult to delude myself that The Beatles weren't the most popular group in the history of music.

HIGHLIGHTS; Jet - Mrs Vandebilt - Helen Wheels - Picasso's Last Words
