DISCOVERY; You could call me an obsessive child. I bought one Beatles album after another after another and so on. Though not in the right order, so not completely mental. I kept a list of every album that entered the collection from 1970 until 1980 or so. This is how I know The Beatles Second Album was the second album in my collection and why the format of this blog is what it is. The song I was after was She Loves You which was the first Beatles song I remember hearing. At The Scenic Drive In, French fries, hamburgers and shakes, ice cream if we didn't spill any. Julie and I in the back seat, Marge and Pete up front. The food would be delivered to the car window. You'd roll down the window and they'd hang a tray on it. Must have been about 5 years old at the time. The company I was with didn't think much of this 'crap' on the radio. "Lets change the station!" so I only ever got a verse and the chorus. I thought it was amazing. Took me ages to figure out what the song was called... surely it wasn't 'Beatles crap song'... What I could never figure out was how they thought Elvis was better?

HIGHLIGHTS; Rocks start to finish, some great covers including Long Tall Sally, Please Mr Postman & You Really Got A Hold On Me. Particular favourites, I Call Your Name and She Loves You.

STATUS; Included in the CD re-issue box of Capitol Records US Albums. This one plays.
